Our Taste Byron Bay cooking classes are a fun and informative way to brush up on your cooking skills, work with a seasoned chef, and of course, enjoy some beautiful food.

We run regular Taste Byron Bay cooking classes celebrating local seasonal produce.  All our menus are designed to show our guests how to build flavours and gain kitchen confidence.  Please check the booking calendar and monthly menu below for more information.

All our Taste Byron Bay cooking classes will Celebrate. Local. Produce offering you a chance to enjoy fresh seasonal ingredients from the Fig Tree Restaurant garden and a bounty of locally sourced produce from our carefully selected network of talented farmers and producers who share our sustainable food with flavour philosophies, ensuring each cooking class is a celebration of flavours and local produce.

We create a warm and welcoming environment in our cooking classes where you can have a lot of fun and build your kitchen confidence, no matter what your current skill level is. We will introduce you to the art of when and how to season, along with techniques to teach you how to balance and build flavours. There will also be plenty of opportunity throughout the class to chat with our experienced chef Terase Davidson and ask her all those foodie questions.

At the end of our cooking classes there will be time to sit down together around a big shared table to enjoy all the delicious food that was prepared and cooked during the class. It’s a great way to relax and share your cooking experiences, after all great food should be celebrated and shared.

Our Taste Byron Bay :: Salted Caramel Sauce is winning hearts up and down the East Coast of Australia.  We often get asked “how do I use the sauce”, so to answer this questions we’ve gone and created a Cooking Class devoted to answering this very question.  During the Cooking Class, we will be exploring the different flavour combinations that you can team up with the our Salted Caramel Sauce, and how to get more out of your jar of “golden goodness”.

During your Cooking w Salted Caramel Sauce class you will learn how to make:

* Chilli & Free Range Chicken Asian Inspired Pancakes
* Belgium Waffles w Ice Cream
* Pecan Pie
* Bread & Butter Pudding
* Chocolate Ganache Tart

Following the Cooking Class you will get to eat all the lovely deliciousness we have cooked during your class, we will also have savoury dishes ready for you to enjoy over lunch.

By the end of the cooking class you will have a bunch of new skills and cooking techniques that you can share with your friends and family.

Coming into winter is the best time to learn the art of creating easy to prepare dishes that are full of flavour and fill your home with the comforting smells of a home cooked meal to chase away the winter chill.

During your Masterclass in Winter Warmers you will learn how to make:

* Chicken Cacciatore
* Bread & Butter Pudding

Following the Cooking Class you will get to eat all the lovely deliciousness we have cooked during your class around a shared table of new foodie friends.
